The Indian Lilac or Neem or Azadirachta Indica is a tropical evergreen tree that offers a wide range of health benefits. Its leaves are used in various Ayurvedic medicines that cure a multitude of health problems. Padmashri Prof. K.C. Chunekar has specifically motioned the medicinal properties of the leaves in his book ‘Bhavprakash nighantu’. The organic compounds present in its leaves are responsible for its insecticidal and pesticidal properties and thus can be used for organic farming. The leaf powder is also used for animal wellness.
