Mandukparni or jalbrahmi are the common Indian names of Centella Asiatica which has been used in Ayurvedic medicines for thousands of years. The usage of this medicinal herb has been listed in ancient Indian medical text called ‘Sushruta Samhita’. A good combination of triterpenoid and saponins make it responsible for wide therapeutic actions. Due to its enormous capacity of improving both physical and metal health, it has been popular in China too as “miracle elixirs of life”.
